Mark your calendars for Kathy Higgins Sink’s FABULOUS tomato class we will be having at Norwood Gardens.
Each spring, while living in Kentucky, Kathy and her friend Cindy sold about 7,000 self-raised garden plants - the vast majority were heirloom tomatoes - over 30 varieties. Their business is now 12 years old and counting!
Kathy has a good amount of insight on successfully raising hearty tomato plants and is eager to share her knowledge with everyone interested. In this class you will learn tips on sowing, germinating, growing , and planting tomato plants. We will also discuss the gardening aspects of care, staking, feeding, watering, and seed saving. We will enjoy a few humorous anticdotes and participate in games complete with prizes. You will bring home an heirloom tomato “start”, so get ready to get your hands a little dirty!
