Be Calm, Cool and Collected
SWEET THYME CAFE
Our coffee currently comes from Larrys Coffee. All blends are in the building but will change out accordingly. It is important that each shift you are aware of what beans are being brewed for this could change daily. We only offer what is on the menu.
Our syrups are ordered online through the Websturant Store, inventory is to be keep to ensure proper ordering and stored quantity. Milk is bought at the grocery store by a selected person.
Customer interactions are key.
People want coffee, but they can get coffee down the street from the gas station if they just want coffee. Engage them, and if they do not want interaction then you don’t have to bother them.
Know when there are lapses in the coffee making, use those moments to input orders and converse.
Follow the procedures that are listed in the cafe for open and closing. There are things to do at the beginning and end of each cafe shift. Being efficient is key for productivity. Make sure you are keeping up with yourself and making sure you are being as efficient as possible. Do tell a manger about everything you learn for we are always looking for feedback on how to better improve our processes.
While we are a growing business, growing our relationships with customers is extremely important. We strive to be the Chick-fil-A of garden centers. Have a positive attitude is key to customer engagement. In the short time that you interact with a customer it is important to make sure they feel welcomed - to keep them returning and stay a while.
