Key Terms
Annual: Grow for one season then die off.
Perennial: Regrow every spring.
Evergreen: Keeps its foliage/leaves all year round (ex - trees, shrubs).
Deciduous: Loses its leaves in the winter but gets new leaves in the Spring.
Shrub: Can be evergreen or deciduous.
Tree: Can be evergreen or deciduous.
Grasses: Can be evergreen or perennial.
Groundcover: Stays low to the ground and spreads; can be evergreen or perennial.
